When I was staying in San Juan, Nicaragua in April with my good friend Danny Elder (AKA Rumpus) and I heard that he was filming his first music video in Saskatoon in early June with Neon Steve, costume direction by Irys (founder of Solar Opposites) and directed by Nathan Thoen (lead singer of Bombargo), I had already booked my early flights home before he asked me to be in it.

Well, the day is finally here and it is OUT!
And what a crazy little music video it turned out to be!

Not only that but Rumpus...

"Loathe the coast caress
late light for the shedding

the sun's constant state of setting"

-from 'Blue Violets'

I've just launched my new second music video! My track 'Blue Violets' is a beat poetry piece I wrote and recorded with Earl Pereira of The Steadies a few summers back. It was so fun to put some psychedelic visuals to it with the help of our in-house Momentom Collective videographer Tony Tobias as we walked, danced and ripped a Tuk Tuk through San Marcos on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala!

 My first ever music video...and she's a trrrip! 🎩✨🌎 🙃

Big thank you to Imagine 360 for the crazy video ideas and our 2017 Momentom Collective Artist Residency crew in Nicaragua for jumping into a Mad Hatter's world...

Also big love out to Justin 'Juice' Lee who helped record and play on this song (like nearly all my recordings). I know you would have LOVED this crazy video. We miss ya bro! 🙏

*I'm also offering a free download of the original recording via Soundcloud HERE.

Happy 75th Birthday, LSD!

75 years ago today, Albert Hoffmann accidentally created LSD while trying to find a way to stimulate the respiratory system. Riding his bicycle home on the world's first acid trip he realized "one's own reality is by no means something fixed but something ambiguous. There is not only one, but many realities, each comprising a different consciousness of the ego."

Since that fateful day, the world has been growing more curious of experiencing and learning from these different s...

When in Black Rock City…

“Hey, why is everyone getting naked at the end of the line?”

The words blurt out of my mouth like an awkward afterthought.
“So…” I continue. “This isn’t the lineup for free guacamole?”

I look to my left and catch my sweaty reflection in a pair of oversized silver steampunk goggles. The midday desert heat continues to press down on our skin. The sun feels intent on dehydrating us. A gold veil underneath the goggles answers. “Oh, there’s still guac. The neon Viking chick is handing it out.”
“Ok, per...

Envision Festival in Costa Rica is not your typical gathering of people in the jungle. Beyond the party and musical production, Envision takes a focus on sustainability, yoga, permaculture, art and open discussions as a global community ready to thrive - like the jungle - as a collective.

Being a part of the Montreal/Nicaragua based circus arts crew, Momentom Collective, we setup camp in the jungle for another year of growth, learning and laughs. Here is a photo journal of some of the experien...

The Return to Nicaragua...And Moving In With The Circus:

I've found myself leaving Costa Rica to return to Nicaragua. With a new shipment of books arriving via the suitcase of friends (gracias Dan and Kurtis!) it's time to throw a book launch in my second home of San Juan del Sur!

It will be a rare experience on Feb 15th when the renowned coffeehouse, El Gato Negro, stays open throughout the night for an evening of wild travel tales and intimate acoustic music served with sangria and craft beer. Arrive early...

A Photo Journal of the Graffiti from Germany's Capital

Berlin has long been known for its counter-culture, including the music, art, and freedom of expression that comes with it. When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, there was such an exodus of people from East Berlin to West Berlin that many buildings, warehouses, and homes were left abandoned. These spaces attracted squatters and low-income artists who made use of the countless fresh canvasses for street art and graffiti.

As Berlin continues to grow into...
